Color Correcting System
- Perform a strand test for accuracy and capability to remove unwanted color
- In a non-metallic bowl or in a mixing bottle, mix one part Lotion 1 with one part Lotion 2 (mixing ratio 1:1) in an amount appropriate to the length of hair requiring correction
- Wear suitable disposable gloves, and apply the product quickly and evenly to dry hair with a brush
- If you are using a mixing bottle, shake the mixture well to obtain a uniform cream consistency, and apply carefully throughout dry hair to ensure even penetration
- Note: Use the mixture immediately after combining thetwo lotions as its strength decreases over time
- Apply a plastic cap over hair and process for 20 minutes
- HEAT OPTION: Place under medium heat to accelerate the process, and check periodically
- Rinse hair thoroughly, and then cleanse the hair with an appropriate shampoo (Kenra® Clarifying Shampoo is recommended)
- Apply Demi-permanent Activator 9 Volume or Permanent Developer 10 Volume to the hair for 3 minutes to neutralize and rinse thoroughly
- If sufficient color has not been removed or if the hair color has become darker, repeat the process on damp, towel-dried hair (up to a total of 3 times)
- If the scalp appears irritated, discontinue use
- Shampoo and condition thoroughly with an appropriate Kenra shampoo and conditioner
- Dry the hair at a warm temperature (cool enough to not cause irritation), and proceed to apply the desired color
